In recent years, a new debate has occurred between people about whether teenagers should be punished exactly as matures, or not. I personally support that idea, however with some conditions.
Firstly, teens are still in their development journey, and parents could enhance their personalities as they are growing up. Therefore, punishing them with the exact penalty would affect them in the future, especially when applying for jobs. In many countries when someone gets sued and enter jail their personal data include that which affects their opportunities when considering specific occupations in the job market like; government jobs require a clear criminal record.
Moreover, whoever commit a serious crime should be faced what they deserve, however a different way of penalty is crucial at some point. For instance, governments can establish agencies for whoever commit a crime for those who age from 13 to 18 years old. With that being said, they take them to public place like the beach to clean it from the dirty stuff people leave the beach with their eaten food, drank water bottles, etc. Therefore, I think people should be more responsible for their own acts and try to avoid, and not falling into inappropriate situations.
In conclusion, I agree that no one is above the law, moreover whoever commit something against the law they should be in the court and if they did something horrible should be put in jail, however if they are teenagers they should be dealing with differently from those who are older.
