It is true that many residents insist houses are vastly superior to flats, others show the opposite view. While there are a number of benefits of dwelling in a home, I am of the opinion that the drawbacks are greater.
On the one hand, living in a private house can be highly beneficial for many reasons. One of the key advantages is better privacy as noise is considerably hindered thanks to the space between houses. People can do whatever they want without the suspicion of disturbing neighbors or getting found out by them. Another significant benefit is that dwellers living in a house might get more space. Many houses provide not only numerous bedrooms with en suite bathrooms to depart to sufficient rooms for every member even for guests, but also have large kitchens and living rooms for relaxation and daily routines, which is perfectly suitable for extended family.
On the other hand, I would argue that the advantages of houses pale in comparison with the disadvantages. Firstly, the security system of a private house overall is inferior to the building one. There are few houses having surveillance cameras to monitor individuals’ behavior and most families do not have adequate finances to employ security guards only well-off families can do so. Consequently, it is easier for burglaries to access and steal, which causes serious harm and even compromises personal safety. The second negative aspect that should be taken into consideration is utility. People may have to travel further to access amenities, services and transport links, especially if they live in a rural or suburban area. As a result, house-living residents would frequently encounter more inconvenience and time-consuming than flat dwellers.
In conclusion, despite several positives that living in a house has, I subscribe to the idea that they are far outweighed by the potential problems.
