The effectiveness of cooperative learning has sparked a recent debate. A certain portion of the population believes in completing the project individually, while the other half has confidence in their team members by engaging in the classwork. In my opinion, accomplishing a project with like-minded graduates helps overcome failures gradually and rapidly. This essay will discuss both sides of the argument in detail and provide evidence as to why working together is superior.
Learning from intellectual experience and prevailing over own miscalculations is a major benefit when working in collaboration with a team. As a result, it assists them in following agile methodology to finish a given assignment quickly and also grasp challenging concepts that are hard to adapt separately. Furthermore, studies have also revealed positive aspects of working together on a task, as it helps the human brain to nourish by conceptualizing distinct ideas from different individuals; hence, while completing the project each graduate ideology is respected and others can acquire significant learning experiences for a specific topic. Moreover, renowned education institutes across the globe encourage their pupils to work together as a single force, not only they are making them ready as per industry standards but they also assist in building important corporate skills such as relationship building, critical thinking, and team player.
In contrast, an individual approach to an assignment has its positive aspects as a person could solely focus on their ideas and concepts to conduct their research; however, this perspective has its drawbacks too. Firstly, operating on a project single-handedly leads to more nervous tension which makes it more detrimental for an independent person. Such as by making regular mistakes they will laggard behind their peers and may feel like quitting the project before reaching the finish line. Therefore, a graduate who might be bright in mind but being isolated by their fellow peers will lower their morale. Nevertheless, in the longer run, they will not be able to gain confidence which will be daunting for them while looking for a job as it would be difficult to stand out in networking events due to Communication apprehension.
For the reasons I have outlined above, I truly believe in collaborating with classmates over schoolwork as it enhances self-confidence and students could acclimatize the pivotal skills that are essential for their empowerment.
