Some people argue that young people should have a part-time job for a well personal development, while others say that teenagers should concentrate on school activities. I believe that if students have the opportunity to focus only on their teenage experiences, they can enjoy their final school’s years without the stress of work.
On the one hand, today’s youth is often seen as more irresponsible and spoiled than in the past.in fact, it is known that a job can help people become more disciplined and responsible. These are very important objectives for the new generation of adults. For example, behavioural researchers say that 92% of young people who started working during the summer experienced an improvement in school grades.
On the other hand, teenager’s years will not return. These are the years where people mind absorbs the largest amount of information, and the period where creativity is at its best. So, why sacrifice these years for something that you will do for the rest of your life? The school years are fundamental for personal growth, as this period shapes the person you will become in the future. For instance, if a teenager works instead of participating in school’s activities, he may not find the time to rest and cultivate new relationships.
In conclusion, although part-time’s job can help young people become more responsible and begin to understand things about the work environment, after-school activities are also crucial for the mental and social development of youth.
