To be honest, I think kids need both creativity and practical knowledge in school. Some people argue that subjects like art and music aren’t useful in real life, but I don’t fully agree. I mean, sure, not everyone’s going to become a musician or a painter, but that doesn’t mean those classes are pointless.
Like, I remember in school, I wasn’t always great at math, but I looked forward to music class. It made me feel calm and kind of free. It wasn’t about right or wrong answers—it was more about expression. And weirdly enough, I think those classes helped me with focus and even confidence. So even if it doesn’t look “useful,” it actually kind of is.
That said, yeah, I get it—jobs today mostly need tech skills, science, stuff like that. And sure, not everyone’s going to be an artist. But still, creativity doesn’t just live in art. People who work in business or software also need creative thinking to come up with new ideas or solve weird problems.
So in my opinion, schools should keep a mix. We need the practical subjects, of course, but also the creative ones. They shape how we think and who we are. And honestly, life’s not just about getting a job—it’s about being human too.
