Having a degree can signify the availability of work for some, while others strongly believe that experience and skills play a significant role in securing a job. I believe a bachelor’s degree is one of the most important assets that can open many doors for the future.
On one hand, universities do not always provide information and knowledge about the essential aspects of future business or life. However, I think students gain valuable insights that can contribute to their professional lives. Additionally, universities often fail to demonstrate knowledge in a practical manner. In contrast, life is full of experiences and events that can positively influence the decisions you make at work. I know a person who has worked as a mentor and did not possess a degree. Nevertheless, he has changed many lives by inspiring the community through examples from his own life.
On the other hand, lacking a degree in crucial professions, such as medicine or law, can lead to severe consequences, including imprisonment. Furthermore, the absence of a university degree may result in negative outcomes for someone who causes harm while working in an internship without proper qualifications. Additionally, an undergraduate degree allows for theoretical work and opens the door to a scientific career. Without completing a bachelor’s program, it is impossible to enter research activities. I am planning to pursue this path, as it seems to be my only opportunity to achieve success in scientific work.
To sum up, everyone has the ability to choose their own path, whether it involves attending university or starting a career based on past skills. Nevertheless, having a degree can help you secure a job with better conditions than those without one.
