Some people think that mobile phones should be prohibited in public areas, especially in places such as shops, libraries and public transport. I partially agree with this statement for two main reasons.
Firstly, phones can be problematic in open spaces is that they often cause inconvenience to others. In locations where silence is essential, such as libraries, even loud messages or conversations can disturb those who are working or studying. Public transportation shows similar patterns, as some passengers can watch videos or listen to music loudly, resulting discomfort for people around them. Such behaviour can create tension between passengers and lead to bad ride experiences. Consequently, it can create unpleasant atmosphere in what should be shared among all individuals.
However, banning cell phones may not be necessary. In today’s digital age, everyone use gadgets almost for everything. Many people use it for paying for mass transit, in every bus you cover the cost of the ride by scanning QR code or pay by card. The same applies to shopping magazines, because it is more convenient. Furthermore, individuals use their mobile phones in libraries to obtain extra information for research purposes.
In conclusion, I believe limited access to phones may be quite beneficial for people; however, there should be balanced approaches, which would be more appropriate.
