In the world that we currently live in, language is an essential tool to communicate with the people. Communities argue that a person can never understand the culture of a country unless they speak the language. Personally, I do not agree with the aforementioned statement. In this essay, I am going to elaborate the reasons of it.
Firstly, even though we speak the foreign language, people can never to comprehend the history and cultural of a country when speaking the language. It is because, nowadays, technology plays a vital role in our daily life. People use the advanced systems and high-tech capabilities such as Internet to know what are the country’s traditions. For instance, Google is used to find out the customs and pre-era of a country. By this way, we should understand certain knowledge and it shows that people just using an effective tool then able to know everything without speaking.
Secondly, learning the mother tongue of each country is not the only way to communicate with foreigners. For example, lots of people from other countries who do not consists any idea about the Japanese language but they know about the culture because they learn it from books, as well as, of visiting the Japan. Showing some rituals仪式or traditional dances which belong to that country is another effective way to demonstrate culture. Moreover, while we are having a walk in the city, it can give us information about their dress culture.
In a nutshell, speaking the language is not only the pathway that we understand the culture of a country. It is just as one of the techniques to aid our life. Throughout learning more and observing more, I believe that the close bond of the relationship will be made, in spite of what nation you are.
