In the modern era, books have become less popular as a way to gain knowledge or as a pleasure activity. I totally agree with this statement due to alternatives which allow finding information faster and technological breakthroughs in the digital space to make free time more gripping.
Firstly, finding information in books is inconvenient. People can do it quicker using a phone. If a user asks a question, he or she will find the answers in just a few seconds. In the past, for schooling students were going to the library, where they spent hours to find useful resources. After carefully comparing the materials , they were choosing necessary parts. In contrast, today the prime solution of this problem is Chat GPT which is used by millions of individuals, and illustrates each type of data in less than 3 seconds. In an era where time is a valuable resource, such types of AI make people’s life easier.
Secondly, there is plenty of entertainment which is more fascinating than paper analogy. Nowadays, people like fast-changing videos, pictures which attract their attention in the first second. It is hard for them to focus on something for a long period of time, reading pages which are written in small letters. As a result, in a few minutes readers are bored. Whereas, instagram has recommendations that are adopted by each user. A lot of bright pictures and voice effects allow individuals day to day scrolling reels without stopping.
In conclusion, I believe that now books are not a viable option,because not only people are prone to find something without effort by one click, but also prefer a more innovative source of leisure.
