Writing is key to communicating with others. Many people debate whether it is better for children to start learning a foreign language at a very young age or to wait until they are older. I will explain my perspective on this topic.
In my opinion, children learn a foreign language more easily because they have fewer inhibitions against making mistakes. As young children, they hear their parents speaking in a foreign language and begin to mimic them, learning words and letters one by one. This gives them the opportunity to develop a good native-like pronunciation, even if their parents are not native speakers themselves. As a result, children can achieve a high level of grammar and vocabulary and continue to improve their language skills.
The alternative approach is to wait until children are older. This argument is based on the idea that older children learn languages more easily because they have a stronger foundation in language skills. I believe this is a valid argument because older children have better cognitive abilities that can help them grasp complex concepts. Creating an English-speaking environment can also be beneficial; for instance, if a child enjoys watching cartoons, it would be advantageous for them to watch those cartoons in a foreign language, as this will help them learn and start communicating effectively.
In conclusion, I think the best approach is to begin learning a foreign language at a young age. Young children have fewer barriers when it comes to learning, allowing them to build a solid foundation in grammar and pronunciation. Although waiting until children are older can also be an effective method, I personally prefer the early learning approach.
