Band 4+: some people think that dangerous sports should be banned , while others think people should have freedom to choose the activities they want to do. Discuss both vies and give your opinion.

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

In contemporary society, a growing number of individuals advocate for prohibition of the dangerous sports, while others claim that it should be free choice. While I acknowledge people’s rights, the government should regulate these sports with some legislations.

On the one hand, people engage in different sports fields and these are their own consent. For instance, sportsmen know how the process works, however, they participate in these branches again. Additionally, every field has their own rules which are accepted worldwide. Even if they are dangerous those rules prevent hard injures and bring opportunities for safe combats.

On the other hand, some injures end with disability or death. The sports federations ought to change their legislations and give more safe environment for sportsmen. The life of individuals should be prioritized to the competitive games. To exemplify, in 1990s, in the gymnastics competition, one of the participants used dangerous action, which was forbidden by federation due to jeopardizing the gymnast’s life.

Overall, it is a considerable debate about whether impose limitation and prohibition or give free choice opportunity. I firmly think that the lives of athletes are more imperative than the games and competitions.
