Currently, the use of electric vehicles (EVs) is a trending topic as a solution for global environmental problems such as global warming and climate change. Governments and individuals are supporting this campaign to turn fossi fuel transportation into electric vehicles. However, some people argue that electric vehicles (EVs) are not truly environmentally friendly, I believe that the use of electric vehicles will reduce gas emissions and protect environment for a better place for humankind.
Electric vehicles produce minimal gas emissions compared to traditional transportations. Since they use electricity as energy instead of fossil fuel, they do not release gas emissions such as CO2 that harm Earth’s athmospehere. For instance, European countries have used electric transportations massively for their public transports and private vehicles. Therefore, the environment in European countries has cleaner air quality than in Asia countries.
In addition, EVs are more environmentally friendly when powered by green energy such as geothermal, hydroelectricity, or solar electricity. Some countries already use clean energy as a source of electricity. For example, in New Zealand and Norway, the source of energy comes from green energy that can maximize the use of EVs to reduce pollution around the world.
In conclusion, even though there are some issues, the use of electric vehicles with green energy as a source of electricity is a crucial part of lowering greenhouse gas emissions and protecting the planet. Governments should support this campaign by giving incentives and creating rules that support EVs.
