Many people believe that, people who hold senior management positions should be given a higher amount of payment than other employees, and I completely agree with this statement. This is because, authoritative and superior positions have a much bigger responsibility. Additionally people would be appointed in such positions only if they have greater qualifications and good years of experience. Hence, it is justifiable to pay them higher salaries.
People in manager post will be held responsible for not only their actions, but also for the individuals working under them. In addition to that, problem that arises in the task at hand and any disputes between the team members should also be taken care by them. For instance, if the dead line set by the company is not met by the workers, the in-charge would be questioned about the shortcomings. Therefore, the manager has to be involved in the task and also oversee their employees.
Furthermore, an upper post requires added qualifications and experience. Besides, people appointed to such positions have better skills and enhanced performance. For example, the coding of a computer program by a fresher may take a longer duration than by an experienced worker. Moreover, newly joined workers are placed under well versed workers as trainees to learn the job. This makes them a valuable asset to the growth of the company. Hence, they should be paid as per their value.
In conclusion, people in senior management positions have bigger responsibility and great deal of experience. As a result, their contribution in the betterment of the company is also more and hence should be paid accordingly. This is to say that, paying them higher salaries is a good thing.
