It is often debated whether getting a job that a person loves is more important than securing a permanent and stable job. In my point of view, having a stable job is far more important.
In today’s economy, having a stable source of income can be very valuable for many different reasons. Firstly, after the COVID-19 pandemic, rent prices have significantly increased. It is undeniable that having a stable house to live in is crucial, and if there’s no stable source of income, one can end up being homeless. Secondly, one thing that should not be forgotten is children. Having kids is a blessing, however, it can also be a financial burden. In the modern era and in many different countries, being a parent to a child can be expensive. For example, in some countries, governmental schools are not good enough, consequently, parents perfer to enroll their kids in private schools which, contrary to governmental schools, cost more.
As for job satisfaction, many people argue that it holds more value. Having a job that an individual love can be an advantage. Firstly, when people do what they love they tend to give it more effort, as a result of that they can be promoted. Furthermore, although motivation can be one of the main reasons people perform better at their jobs, staying motivated can be hard. Nevertheless, having a job that someone actually enjoys can be a reason for them to get motivated. For instance, artists tend to do better at their jobs because they enjoy doing art, which keeps them happy and motivated.
In conclusion, it is true that job satisfaction is important, but in my opinion, securing a permanent job that will last for a long time and guarantee a stable income is far more significant.
