Some people think that only the government can make significant changes in society, while others think that individuals can have a lot of influence. What is your opinion?

In today’s world, a popular question arises as to whether society is changed more by government or by the influence of individuals? In this essay, I will answer this question and present my view.

In general, the government has a huge power above society thus can influence them, change their lives through implementation of certain laws. Moreover, if people disobey rules, it can lead to fines or what’s more imprisonment in serious criminal cases. In addition, the authority can improve some situations in the country. For example, to establish rules related to waste disposal and recycling leading to the better quality of air and overview of the environment. Also, to offer new jobs and opportunities in career, as a result the economy will grow.

On the other hand, the society plays a crucial role and has not less power than the government. When politicians want to introduce some laws, which in small ways may limit people’s choice, it could lead to protests and stand-ups for one’s positions and rights to be heard. From my knowledge, our government doesn’t take care of the area surrounding the buildings and inhabitants start improving their zone by hand in the way of planting flowers, painting fences, and installing cameras for safety of people and vehicles.

Concluding all facts leading to this point, the government has power above society until it starts to limit them. Overall, both subjects have a certain influence, but on different scales.
