Some individuals claim that social media has more negative effects than positive ones on society. This essay will discuss both perspectives, and I will explain why I completely agree that social media and the internet have a negative impact on the public.
Some people argue that social networks are making people lazier. This is because the majority of humans prefer to spend their time using the internet. For example, many students waste their time as they relax after school by watching social media. By following this trend, they become lazier because they do not move when they are watching anything interesting. As a result, they will not have enough time for the community, and they may not help elderly people or do other significantly beneficial activities.
On the other hand, it represents certain fundamental advantages for the public. For instance, it can help tackle some minor issues which are present in every society, such as obtaining new articles and other essential approaches. Moreover, some older individuals who play an important role in society cannot do everything according to their mood. If they have a smartphone, they can open an AI assistant which can help them to solve problems, and they will be more developed.
In conclusion, although there are some key benefits of what the internet brings to the public, I strongly advocate that it has more drawbacks, which can be very important for lifestyle. Therefore, merits such as a good assistant and tackling problems cannot outweigh demerits like being lazy, wasting time, and not helping elderly people, and they are more significant factors.
