Not only social skills but also academic qualifications are required for everyone to get employed in the modern world. Presently, some employers argue that emotional quality is considered more important than holding several educational certificates. From my point of view, certified academically is more important for job seekers than being skilled in dealing with people as it can be proven how good a person is.
In the hiring process, proof of knowledge of the applicant is first accessed to know if he or she meets duties and responsibilities required for the job. In this case, the participant can show the ability with the university degree that he has technical knowledge. A graduate could prove his performance of the field in transcripts. For example, an engineering student can show his degree why he is a good engineer. In contrast, someone who is good with working other persons cannot prove first if he or she does not have good grades.
Moreover, acadmic qualifications increase job opportunities to pass first stage of screening to be passed. The more qualifications there are, the better chances of having the job. The one with computer and English language profiency tests could get more scores in providing evidence to the future potential employers. More training means understanding of theories related to the applying work.
To conclude, those who studied more and have several diplomas and degrees are more prominent than those with some social skills. At the end of the day, no human resource managers will look at the unproven social skills first.
