Some individuals claim that obtaining a university education can be the most significant way to secure better job opportunities, while others argue that practical experience is indispensable for entering the workforce. Although both points are important, I believe that earning a certificate from a reputable institution is more crucial for starting a career.
Many people opine that practical skills are essential for beginning a job in a company. This perspective suggests that practical experience allows individuals to showcase their capabilities effectively. Additionally, having prior experience can foster creativity early in one’s career, as it provides insights that are vital for achieving success. For instance, in my country, there are many professional sectors that offer free training programs, enabling job seekers to secure good positions in a short time. However, I firmly believe that receiving practical training is not a strict requirement for entering the job market.
Some citizens maintain that graduating from a well-known university is the most favorable option for receiving offers from prominent job sectors. This is because companies with established reputations often prefer candidates with strong educational backgrounds. Furthermore, during interviews, companies tend to favor students from prestigious universities. For example, in Bangladesh, graduates from BUET and DU have an easier time securing positions, as the selection committees view them positively.
In conclusion, while work experience is important after completing one’s studies, I believe that obtaining a certificate from a university is essential for starting a successful career. This essay discussed both perspectives while supporting my own viewpoint.
