As we move into the 21st century, it has been observed that, due to globalization and modernization, the demand for remote jobs has increased significantly. Some individuals argue that working from home has more benefits compared to office-work. There are several reasons behind this trend, and I disagree with this view to a large extent. This essay will articulate the reasons with appropriate examples for my opinion.
One compelling reason for my stance is the lack of teamwork. This mainly happens because all the communication occurs through digital devices. This reduces the direct interaction, which leads to serious conflicts in work projects. In other words, remote jobs are not taken seriously by employees. As a result, sometimes companies face financial losses. For example, a delay in project completion often occurs due to miscommunication among remote employees.
Another important reason supporting my view is social isolation. This occurs because remote employees have to work alone without any interaction or social contact. This situation affects mental well-being, which causes mental stress and reduces motivation. As a result, employees suffer from deep thinking which reduce productivity. For instance, due to remote job employees feel disconnected from the office environment.
Admittedly, working from home provides greater flexibility. This is because employees can spend quality time with their families and loved ones, and they can participate in social events. However, this benefit is often limited because sometimes work pressure affects the sleep cycles.
In conclusion, although remote job provides comfortability, it reduces productivity and affect on employees mindset. Location provides proper environment and work life balance.
