Band 5: Some schools are no longer teaching children how to write with a pen. Do you think children should learn handwriting skills? (User-Written IELTS Writing Task 2 Essay)

In some school, there are many teachers do not teach pupils how to write with a pen. As for me, handwriting is important skills because it related to the history and it also develops logic of children. The reason will be elaborated in the following paragraphs.

One the one hand, handwriting skills one of the foundation for children because it connects to the history and culture of their motherland and it will help preserve an important of their culture. For instance, in Viet Nam, a nation rich in literature and poetry, so handwriting helps children exposes ti classic literature and understanding more about cultural heritage of their nation. They not only learn how to write but also children feel cultural values. These initiatives, it will help nurture love and show respect for nation.

In addition, handwriting skills are not just about know how to write letters beautifully but also it helps pupils develop as well as promote logical thinking ability to remember and concentrate because when children handwriting, they have to think write about structure, develop sentences and idea before writing. For example, when they write a topic related to society, life and so on, it enhances the ability thinking and develop critical thinking to organize their ideas before take notes. Especially, researchers say that handwriting skills help children remember longer because it connects between nerves together in the brain.

In conclusion, although technology more developed and become popular, but handwriting also play an important role for today.
