In this era of 21st century, globalization has become an area of focus where trades and cultural exchange brings more benefits to the country’s economy. However a certain percentile of people fear it could lead to erosion of national identity. In my opinion it has numerous advantages despite minor concerns.
To start with setting up of a business brings new opportunities for domestic job market with the introduction of new technology and innovations. It leads to rise in employment rate, living standard increases and boost economy. In addition, it improves road and infrastructure leading to better connectivity with other provinces and states. Furthermore it gives opportunities to both local resident and overseas workers to exchange ideas and skills to cooperate effectively. For example the cross- border trade between India and Nepal has enhanced the cooperation and border towns have flourished as trade hubs benefiting from free flow of goods, services and people.
On the other hand, with the influx of immigrants foreign influences might lead to erase of National identity. As culture and economics become intertwined there is a risk prevailing lifestyle of financially powerful nations may over shadow the indigenous beliefs and traditions. But by implementing policies that supports preservation of native’s art, language and heritage the nation state can maintain a balance alongside participating in global exchanges.
To conclude, while increasing contact between nations in terms of business and culture brings more benefit to a country. The disappearance of identity is a minimal disadvantage as compared to the profits of this trends.
