The evidence that criminal activities has grown exponentially across nations around the globe, is ubiquitous. There is view that increasing the number of police on the street can be effectively option to eliminate and combat crime. While I admit the decision to having numerous commissioners is a good way, I believe there is a better solution for enhancing safety of the streets.
On the one hand, in the many cities which are suffering high level of crime should be controlled by police and political corporation. Obviously, it can be solution that having more police to reduce the frequency of crime offences. For example, if police investigate a crime with strong punishments such as corporal, administrative and even capital punishments, it can effect to eliminating circumstances of the crime. As a result, while police is doing their duties on the streets, people feel a more sense of responsibility and that may deter from carrying out a crime.
However, it is also important to mention certain exceptions, in which criminal activities always cannot be stopped by police and in this situation individuals need more solutions. Firstly, there is a strong linkage between television, newspaper, and humankind. By showing a variety of crime and punishment details, human can acquire more and can be aware results of lawbreaking in society. To illustrate these principles, when people are faced with a phenomenon which is banned in a constitution, they consider the results such as death penalty, suspended sentences or unlimited probation as having more responsibility. Thus, raising the awareness becomes the key to detect a crime.
To conclude, although having more police on the streets can sometimes help improve responsibility of society, I argue that policy is not always effective and that other stronger measures, namely mass media should also be introduced.
