While its widely accepted that taking risk is beneficial, there are those who think it will bring drawbacks. In this essay I will discuss both sides and agree that disadvantages surpass advantages.
Several reasons are suggested why taking risks can be beneficial. The first and foremost reason is that it will give people new opportunities, thus enabling them to enhance the quality of their life. Another reason would be the fact that people who took the risks are taken from their comfort zone by unpredictable situations. For instance, there are a number of people who become wealthy after making risky decisions and able to experience different new things.
Despite all the the advantages above, I firmly believe that disadvantages are able to surpass them. One of the most detrimental effect of making risky decisions is that one can lose everything ,realizing it too late. This is because that nobody can guarantee you a success or ideal lifestyle. Having said this, one’s plan can be ultimately ruined, not providing person with the second chance. Consequently, people never will be sure about the result of their risk, thus leading uncertain lifestyle.
To sum up, while there might be some merits about taking risks, I strongly believe that drawbacks outweigh them.
