Recently, a myriad of people have argued that channels should be utilized solely for entertainment and educational activities; hence, I firmly agree with this perspective, as they foster both intellectual development and recreational time with families.
One key factor is that televisions play a crucial role in expanding the whole knowledge, promoting cultural growth and being up to date with the current world events. In other words, if broadcasting devices are used for educational purposes, they become powerful tools for learning and cultural enrichment, ultimately leading to a reduction in the time spent on unproductive activities. To illustrate, countless global channels have introduced educational shows and podcasts, particularly aimed at adolescents. As a consequence, this has led to a boost in their personal growth, learning new language, in addition to improvement in educational life. Thus, not only do channels broaden people’s horizons, but they also promote culture of continuing learning.
Another strong point suporting this notion is that television can be utilized for promoting psychological well-being for the youth. To clarify, if the young generation use channels for entertaining and showing high-quality episodes, they will be able to relieve stress and escape from the daily pressure which poses a serious threat to their recreational skills, in addition hinders their developmental skills. For instance, numerous studies, conducted by Egyptian psychological experts, in 2020, have revealed that children who spend time with their parents watching comedy movies and series as a daily routine, resulting in improving their relationship, boosting bond between each other, as well as less prone to mental issues, such as isolation and depression. Therefore, not only do programs impact individual’s life positively, but they also improve their mental and social well-being.
In conclusion, it is widely argued that television offers greater benefits for both cognitive development and leisure activities, and I firmly believe that this is an optimal perspective. Moreover, broadcasting devices serve both individuals and society by fostering creativity, enhancing social interactions, and providing a healthy balance between work and relaxation.
