Thanks to civilization, scientists now find it easy to make extra-terrestrial discoveries. While some people argue that those breakthroughs have made little difference in majority peoples’ lives, I would argue that they will show their potential in the near future.
On the on hand, extra-terrestrial discoveries are not the topics that most people interested in. While I concede that breakthroughs out of earth mean a great achievement in a human history, people often found them not impacting on their life. The first reason of that happening is that discoveries are often hold long-term impact; we do not know when they will enhance level of life of all people. The second reason is that people are more concerned about their current life, not about future. Because, most people are barely getting by in this dynamic world, so there is a chance that they might not see the future. Another interesting point is that while most people do not care about large scale discoveries, some of them are against such kind of experiments. For those, funding directed to extra-terrestrial breakthroughs could change their life if that money were spend on them. If human kind will continue living with those ideas in their mind, there will not be any changes at all. People should be more objective about life and make sure that they are somehow helping to the world.
On the other hand, discoveries in the space always have been considered as a step for mankind. Although many people think that they cannot provide something beneficial for them in the following decades, those discoveries are making new job opportunities. So it is clear that the more we are concerned about our future, life-changing discoveries will happen rapidly. For this reason, people, instead of complaining about long-term discoveries, they should help make that happen as soon as possible.
In conclusion, not only do extra-terrestrial discoveries long-term changes, but they also appear to offer new jobs. Therefore, although I acknowledge that those changes will not happen in the near future, I disagree that they have made little difference in peoples’ lives.
