Band 4+: The graph below shows number of students from the US, the UK and Australia who studied in universities in other countries from 2002 to 2007. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

The given line graph illustrates the number of students from the America, United Kingdom Australia who studied in foreign universities during the period from 2002 to 2007. It is clear that the maximum number of American students and the least number of Australian students studied abroad.

Overall, the number of American students was five time more than the number of British and Australian students who studied abroad. While the number of American and Australian students showed an almost similar trend, the number of British students showed a downward trend.

It can be clearly seen from the graph, the figure of American students who studied abroad started at 50000 in 2002 which afterwards decreased steadily and reached to about 46000 in 2004. After that the amount of American students rose again and became 50000 by 2007. The number of Australian studying at overseas universities began at 10000 in 2002 which remain unchanged from 2002 to 2007.

By contrast, the number of British students was 30000 in 2002 which remained the same till 2003 Subsequently it declined steadily from 2002 to 2007 and reached to around 22000.
