The rising worldwide need for oil and gas has made locating them in remote and untouched natural places become essential. Although the drawbacks of such an action in damaging these areas can be acknowledged, this essay asserts that the merits are of greater significance.
It is undeniable that the impact of those disadvantages is of minor importance in terms of causing destruction to intact natural areas and remote ones to a certain extent. The reason is that locating oil and gas gives rise to the erosion of soil, thereby contaminating it. However, I believe that there are measures capable of alleviating this issue, yet still allowing oil and gas finds. Chief among these is that locating them in caves or deep underground would not lead to soil erosion, thereby resulting in no soil contamination.
From my point of view, locating oil and gas is advantageous, in relation to finance gaining as well as manufacturing benefits. Regarding the former, oil and gas can be traded for a great deal of money. This is because the increased worldwide demand for them has made these sources become valuable so that they can be sold for a huge amount of money. Concerning the latter, these two sources can lead to the contribution to the car industry. The reason is that they can be used for making fuel, which is necessary to run cars through their engines.
In conclusion, despite acknowledging the disadvantages of finding oil and gas in damaging remote and untouched natural areas, I hold the view that such a finding brings advantages in terms of money gaining and manufacturing. As such, I agree that the advantages of such an action outweigh its disadvantages.
