In the past most people commuted to universities offline, having networking, opportunities, face-to-face communications. Nowadays, some people think that an online education platforms are increasing rapidly.
I mostly stand by traditional universities, where you can experience student life once. Firstly, it’s clear that in universities you might have face-to-face interactions, which helps to experience networking. Furthermore, offline education offers a lot of opportunities, such as research with professor, irreplaceable social life. I believe that it really affect beneficial on students, helping them connect and make friends on campus. The next main reason why traditional universities will not be replaced is that an active and vibrant campus life, helps students navigate homesickness and the emotional challenges of being away from home.
On the other hand, in today’s era of advanced technology and artificial intelligence, so why not transition to online learning platforms? The main advantage of online education is that students have opportunity to navigate study-life balance, which helps to have more time for personal hobbies and family. Additionally, online education works well for introverted students who may feel uncomfortable in a traditional campus setting. The main critical problem is isolation. In my opinion, students who study from home are more likely to experience challenges in communication and building social connections. They may also experience feelings of loneliness, which in some cases can contribute to mental health challenges, such as depression.
Ultimately, I believe that traditional university education offers greater opportunities for personal growth, social connection, and networking compared to online education. It also provides a supportive environment where students can overcome homesickness, discover their strengths, and form meaningful friendships.
