Environmental problems such as global warming have recently come to the forefront of public awareness. Some believe that our next generation will lead a better life if the current generation sacrifices convenience. However, I agree with those who assert that we can still enjoy a comfortable life without harming the planet. In the following paragraphs, I will explore the rationale behind both beliefs and provide justification for my own viewpoint.
Those who advocate for protecting the environment by refraining from using services that may have detrimental effects present several arguments. One key claim is that we should avoid owning private cars in order to reduce air pollution and lower carbon dioxide emissions. Specifically, public transportation should be promoted because it can carry a large number of people at once, thereby producing less exhaust. Consequently, private vehicles should be restricted, allowing only public transportation to be used.
Nevertheless, I firmly believe that this opinion is misguided. The primary reason is that we can mitigate our negative impact on the environment by utilizing alternative sources of fuel, such as green energy like electricity. Electric vehicles are a prime example; they not only provide the same level of mobility as petrol vehicles but also eliminate carbon dioxide emissions associated with traditional cars. Thus, we can maintain a comfortable lifestyle while ensuring that we leave behind a cleaner environment for future generations.
In conclusion, while some people argue that we should protect our environment by relying on less convenient but potentially harmful services, I maintain that as long as we choose environmentally friendly alternatives, we can still live comfortably while looking out for the well-being of future generations.
