The two maps illustrate the changes occurred in Porth Harbour between the year of 2000 and the present day.
Overall, there is construction of new buildings such as café and shops, showers and toilets, with the relocation of many areas.
To begin with, we should start by describing the map in 2000. It can be seen that the map is pretty basic with showers and toilets on the west side, two car parks on the same area, private yachts named Marina and fishing boats section. There was also a dock on the north side, a lifeboat, an abandoned castle and a public beach on the south side.
Recently, they constructed new showers and toilets next to the south car park, as well as connected the entrance of that car park to the main road instead of the small road like in 2000. The dock is also expanded another passenger ferry with no transfer. Furthermore, a new café & shops is built right on the left of the lifeboat, which is stayed on the same place as in 2000. Moreover, the fishing boat section and private yacht section switches their own locations. The disused castle is transferred into a hotel, converts the public beach quite near it into its private beach.
