The maps compare a Porth Harbor in 2000 and how it is presented nowadays, revealing significant transformations over the period.
Overall, it can be observed an increase in the number of docks and showers, as well as a transformation in certain spaces to service structures including cafes, shops and a hotel. Moreover, some structures have been relocated such as the fishing boats area and one of the parking spaces.
The docks grew in number from one to two docks at the north part of the harbor, giving more space to accommodate passenger ferries. Other areas that received improvement were the toilets and shower since another area was built to that purpose at north to the south car park. The car park spaces, on the other hand, seemed to maintain their size, but the south entrance was relocated to the main road.
Furthermore, a significant improvement in service was noted by the construction of cafes and shops to the west side of the lifeboat and by the transformation of the disused castle into a hotel. The fishing boats and the marina witnessed minor changes during the period by exchanging their previous location with one another
