Nowadays, concerns about work displacement and the requirement for workforce adaptation is being caused by a dynamic artificial intelligence in the workplace. Although AI might lead to risk of a sufficient unemployment, through learning and supporting this can be suffered.
Firstly, one of the main challenges presented by AI is automation of routine work. In other words, today AI is a convenient tool for anything which is exciting but not for the human skills. The main problem is not the absence of job, it is about a poor knowledge and skill gap of people that do not know how to manage in the era of AI. For example, old skills like simple accounting or data entry are being useless while a new ones as a prompt engineering or data analyse require a lot of time and money. Concequently, year by year, any job can face a crucial changes with potential intervention of AI. Secondly, there may highlight an economic inequality and privacy concerns. For instance, the part of a society that main technologies or learn faster, would be whelthy while low-skilled workers might be left without a livelihood. Furthermore, AI can make wrong desicions based on an algoritms which deprives the process of its “human face”. In concequence, these aspects create a social tension.
As a first solution, government can present a lifelong learning and reskilling. In other words, they must investigate funding for repreparing courses. In addition, companies should teach how to use AI instead of firing low-skilled workers and searching new employees. Secondly, modify educatinal systems in order to prepare students for work with technology can be a another option. For example, schools and universities must convert focus from cramming facts to developing soft skills which are the things that AI can not imitiate. Finally, another vary as a solution might be a social safety nets. This is about that governing administration can consider such measures as universal basic incomes or taxation of robots, to support individuals who lost their job because of automation.
