It is argued that there are multiple bonuses to be motivated at work. It is totally agreed that salary, job satisfaction or helping others are the factors that force employees to do their jobs better. I strongly believe that not only receiving a salary is the best motivation for most people these days, but that there are other factors.
To commence with, for many workers, earning money is the key factor in their motivation. Receiving a good income is necessary for satisfying all the desires that people have during their lives. They strive to achieve a better standard of living that would fulfill their basic needs. For example, people earn money for good medicine, material things, and various activities. So, the salary is the best motivational factor for most laborers.
On the other hand, another factor affecting productivity at work is job satisfaction. It includes many things such as a friendly environment, great relationships between colleagues, and different perks. For instance, if employees have an unfriendly environment, they will be unwilling to work; therefore, they will not have the career progression or financial rewards, so the performance quality will decrease. Also, for the majority of workforce participants, salary is not an essential factor. Many are driven only by passion. For instance, being a volunteer brings higher job satisfaction, and helping others is prioritized in their lives. They are ready to perform at work for a low salary, but their productivity is increased.
To sum up, while most people think that only a salary is an incentive for good work, in my opinion, there are many cases influencing the improvement of work in our world.
