Inorder to meet this desire, various concepts like seed banking and insects farming have been emerged. Regarding insects as food products, there have been mixed views among people. Here, in this essay I am going to share pros and cons of developing insects as part of cuisine.
In major parts of countries, insects are used as edible and are very popular among locals. Creatures like bugs are eaten with varying flavors and cooking style added within it. Some consider this style as very healthy with many nutritional values. These add taste to many people. Hence, this process have also led to business fluorishment as insects farming. Nepal, asian developing country, is very popular for “Yarshagumba” which have great importance globally for nutritional aspects and it is believed to cure and prevent many diseases. These are found in himalayas seasonally and this have become trade and income source for many people there.
Conversely, there are some disadvantages with insects-based meat consumption. These are not healthy if not properly cooked with good hygiene practice. Meantime, this practice may bring new life-threatening disease among people. Insects harvesting is not an easy job. It’s far more uhealthy than handling other animals. If they are mishandle and are released into the environment, they can bring nature havoc by destroying crops. Agriculture and surrounding can be mostly affected.
In conclusion, demands of foods are believed to be surpassed in coming generation where people have no any option rather than enjoying insects as foos products. These have both benefits and drawbacks and therefore, before reaching the problem growth rate must be controlled with development of plans for crops cultivation and supply.
