More people these days started shopping more than in the past. Shopping online brings many advantages including disadvantages into people’s daily lives.
First, online shopping allows people to shop anywhere, at any time, without physically going to the store. For instance, those who have a packed schedule and limited mobility can easily order online regarding the place and time. Second, shopping online frequently offers customers lots of discounts and sales. For example, they decided to buy a laptop, but there is a huge difference in the value of the price stated in physical stores and the ones written in online websites. As a result, they will clearly shop online. Third, online stores often offer customers a wider range of products than physical stores, making it easier for them to find exactly what they need. For example, when shopping for a lotion, physical stores only offer a limited selection of scents, while online platforms provide a wider variety.
However, shopping online doesn’t always provide benefits but it also has its own drawbacks. Initially, online shopping doesn’t provide physical inspection. People can’t touch, try on, or physically inspect the items before purchasing. For example, when they are looking for clothes, they can’t physically try on the sizes offered. Next, online transactions have a risk of purchasing counterfeit products. Such as buying a branded product but receiving a knockoff instead. Finally, by shopping online people can’t return the items that have been purchased. Returning items can be difficult and complicated such as the need to pay for return shipping.
In conclusion, shopping online offers significant advantages such as convenience, better prices like discounts and a wider selection of products. While the disadvantages are lack of physical inspection, risk of counterfeit and the difficulty of returning products.
