Band 5+: Too much emphasis is given for the education of students. More government money should be spent on free time activities for young people.

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Education plays a crucial role in people’s lives, especially for youngsters. Some think that too much attention should be directed to education of students whereas others assume that government money should be spent on leisure activities, including basketball, volleyball but not limited to these. While conceding the pros and cons of using government money on both areas, in my opinion, government should spend its money on free-time activities more.

To start with, not in all facets of our life, the advent of education proves favorable. The primary reason why government money should be allocated on education has to do with society’s development. South Korea and Finland can a good example in this point. It is not uncommon to observe these countries into top countries which are known for prioritizing education in their budgets. Countries with such responsibilities can develop highly skilled workforces and improve their citizen’s quality of life, leading students to become profession in their domains in the future. Upon into this perspective, when everyone has access to quality education, it becomes easier to reduce poverty and eliminate social inequality. By definition, by developing education, the authority can strengthen social balance and harmony.

On the other hand, allocating government money on activities should be seen in a positive light as well since our mental and physical health can be improved in many ways. For example, consider European countries like Denmark and the Netherlands, government invest significantly in recreational spaces such as public parks, cycling paths and sports facilities. As a result, this investment has not only improved public health by promoting physical fitness but also strengthen social relationships among people in several public events like festivals and competitions. Additionally, nowadays many individuals from each corner of the world can face emotional challenges like stress and anxiety because of problems at work and life. Pastime activities or cultural events can reduce stress, resulting enhancement in quality of life.

In conclusion, having considered both positives and negative outcomes of spending money on both areas, I reiterate that benefits exceed drawbacks. While using government money for educational purposes is a partially beneficial, their health and social enhancements are significant upsides of it which help people enjoy their lives.

Foreign language learning should begin in primary school rather than in secondary school. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

It is often argued that foreign-language education should begin during primary school rather than being postponed until secondary education.
