Some people believe that, the government is paying greater attention to the education of children, without spending enough public finance on leisure exercises for younger generation. However, I completely disagree with this argument and think that, education of youngers should be one of the main priorties of a country. Because, good knowledge ensures a better future for everybody and help to become a developed nation.
Firstly, education is the key for student to have a bright future by having a good job after school because, in Sri Lanka, most of the people are middle class so, education is the only wealth they have. Therefore, government should spend sufficient money enabling proper studies in every school. For instance, giving more opportunities to learn by constructing new facilities like laboratories, libraries, IT centers. Moreover, there are still rural areas where, pupils don’t have a proper school to study. More public assets need to allocate considering those poor children.
Secondly, higher studies play an important role, to be a powerful nation in the world because, new findings, advanced technologies, well-planned transportation systems are few major things in a developed country. Those are the main outputs of well organized researches that conduct in universities. Hence, a big portion from the resources should consume for undergraduate studies. For example, giving money for universities to do new researches on special areas like engineering, medicine.
In conclusion, many say that, national capital should be assigned more on free time projects for middle age people than studies of pupils. However, I would argue that, education should be more essential than play grounds and spend enough money on that. Because, learning help to foster a wonder future for both children and nation.
