Band 7+: University education should be free for everyone, regardless of income. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Isolating a country that has not been impacted by the phenomenon of university education would be a challenging undertaking. It is possible that this trend will continue to grow in the future, based on the current trajectory of the modern world. The increasing prominence of this issue in various discussions raises the question of whether students should have access to free university education. I am in strong agreement with this statement, and this essay will thoroughly examine the issue from all perspectives.

In the collection of arguments supporting some people’s point of view that academic education shouldn’t be provided free to all students, the first and foremost reason is establishing free education would adversely affect many universities. Generally, they pay their staffs through the earning they make from the fees. If they plan on free education, it will be hard for universities to operate their normal educational activities, which is why many institutes will have to close their doors. For example, consider the case of Britain, where a survey published on the BBC’s website indicated that the vast majority of current universities had chosen not to offer free education to their students.

A rapid examination of the issue at hand would provide us with a plethora of critical reasons supporting my viewpoint that college education should be free for all students, Firstly, the most distinguished nub is that there are many students who do not get sufficient education. To clarify it properly, due to financial issues, the vast majority of students are hopeless to look after their families. If they get proper education, literacy rate will increase in the near future, causing not only would they support their family, but also would they become the useful assets to their country, in turn. In order to provide clear evidence of this, a study conducted by prominent educational officials in Germany in 2007 over the course of two years, which surveyed more than ninety thousand individuals, revealed significant variations in opinions, while a large majority of participants endorsed the aforementioned perspective and deemed it crucial.

The essay above presents a comprehensive view of the essence of free university education from both perspectives. After carefully considering both sides, it logically follows that I support the implementation of free education. Furthermore, it is clear that my position stands out compared to others’ opinions.
