These day some people are of the opinion that climate change is detrimental for several companies, whereas others believe that it gives business opportunities. However, I will examine both perspectives of the evidence and provide my overall opinion, but I agree with the former side.
On the one hand, those who believe some people argue that climate system modification has negatively impact for several companies. Firstly, climate variability poses a physical risk for many organisations. For example, extreme climate weather events like hurricanes, snowstorms, and floods many companies to close operations for few days. Many sectors like agriculture heavily depend on climate and natural resources, also suffer a lot for extreme environment conditions. Secondly, climate change has resulted in stricter greenhouse gas emission regulations, many companies forced to spend a lot to reduce their emissions and give huge fines if fail to do this.
On the other hand, there are some reason why some people argue that global climate transformation is beneficial for businesses. The most reason is that climate system upheaval spurs innovation, inspiring new products, and services, which are environment-friendly. Climate crisis led to the growth of many companies that make green products. Many companies have found to success by catering to consumers who make environmentally conscious choices when they shop. Companies are also able to reduce their operational costs by being more energy efficient.
In conclusion, It must be said that climate change in businesses has become a complex issue with no easy solution. Despite arguments to the contrary, I very strongly feel that climate change has many adverse business outcomes like higher operational costs, legal challenges, and reputation damage.
