In today’s world, the internet usage is significantly rising, and some people believe that books will become unnecessary in the near future. I completely agree with this view for the main two reasons.
The internet makes books unnecessary because it offers instant access to huge amounts of information at no cost. Unlike a printed book, which must be bought, carried, and physically searched though, the internet allows users to find specific answers within a second using search engines. For instance, someone who is learning a new language can immediately access free online dictionaries and different kind of video courses related to any type of themes, whereas a book can offer only static, limited content. This speed and convenience make the internet a far more practical choice for most individuals, gradually eliminating the need for traditional books.
Secondly, the internet is more interesting and up to date than books. Online information can be changed and updated quickly, while books can become old and outdated. Also, the internet includes videos, pictures, and quizzes, which make learning easier to understand. For example, students can watch videos to learn difficult topics instead of only reading about them. Because of this, many people prefer the internet, and books are becoming less important.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that books will become less important in the future because the internet is faster, more convenient, and offers more updated and interactive information. For these reasons, many people are likely to depend on the internet instead of printed books.
