There is little room for doubt that globalization is one of the key ways to bring together all aspects of people’s lives. However, some individuals tend to criticize this process. I align with the statement that globalization affects people, businesses, and all nations in a positive way.
One of the main benefits of globalization is the improvement of people’s living standards. Thanks to globalization, there are a large number of modern technologies, which directly affect the effectiveness of how people spend their time. People save time by using smartphones and laptops, sending voice messages, or calling each other. Modernization is useful not only in everyday life, but also in the professional sphere, increasing work productivity. Additionally, the second advantage of globalization is the fostering of the education and healthcare sectors. For instance, if children receive a good education and have access to medical care, it will increase their chances of becoming professionals and improve the quality of work in the country.
In contrast, one of the drawbacks of globalization is the consequences of rapid progress. It is believed that people feel pressure due to rapid modernization. This process may result in mental health issues, such as anxiety or ADHD. Even though people feel unmotivated when faced with intense competition, it develops a plethora of soft skills, such as adaptability, communication, and cooperation. Moreover, the process of globalization leads to a decrease in the value of national identity. To illustrate this point, in Kazakhstan, more students prefer to study abroad due to the higher living standards in other countries.
From the aforementioned information, one might conclude that globalization has benefited the world by fostering new technologies, education, and healthcare. However, the negative sides of this process include the development of mental health issues and the loss of national identity.
