Band 7+: You should spend about 40 minutes on this task. Some people believe government should spend money 💰 on building train 🚊 and subway lines to reduce traffic congestion. Others think that building more and wider roads is the better way to reduce traffic congestion. Discuss both views and give your opinion. You should write at least 250 words.

Many individuals agree that the government should allocate budget funds for constructing train and subway lines to alleviate traffic congestion. In contrast, some argue that building wider roads is a better option for minimizing traffic bottlenecks. In general, both options create more space for people to commute, whether by public transportation or individual vehicles. However, the implementation of these options should be reconsidered based on the actual conditions on the ground. This essay will discuss and provide further information on both perspectives.

Public transportation, such as trains and buses, carries a significantly larger number of passengers compared to individual transport. This is why some people prefer the government to invest in expanding public transit lines to facilitate easier and faster transportation. Additionally, using public transportation can help decrease the carbon dioxide pollution produced by cars and motorcycles.

On the other hand, some people advocate for building wider roads, which relates to individuals who own their own vehicles. Having personal transport can provide them with the freedom to access various places without limitations.

From my perspective, the government should focus on providing more convenient public transportation options to accommodate citizens in their daily lives. This approach not only helps to reduce traffic congestion but also supports the lower middle-class economy by facilitating daily commuting.
