Most people believe that works of artists of their own country should be displayed in galleries and museums, not works of other countries’ artists. However, I do not agree to this statement. Galleries and museums do not choose works, because these are the places where everyone can expand their horizon.
It is reasonable being against to arts of foreign countries, as some people consider knowing their own culture, achievements, or works means being patriotic and honest to their nation. Every person are brought up to serve to their land when they grow up, by their family. So growing up in the family where everybody claims to love their own country, and be authentic may influence on their perception of the world. Therefore, this may lead to situations where person do not accept anything from other cultures, as they might think they are cheating on their nationality.
Although, from my perspective, works of other countries can help people see things extensively, and acquaint with other cultures that eventually allow them to think creatively. Because, when person learns cultures of other countries, he starts to think objectively. Discovering other countries help him to compare his own cultures with them that makes him more intelligent and knowledgable.
In conclusion, showing arts of foreigners does not harm to society, but improves their creative thinking. In the world where everything is required people to be smart, this is neseccary to know other culture’s works.
