Due to the industrial revolution, the environment is being adversely affected. Some consider that people are responsible for caring about the environment, while others believe it is the government that should be in charge of maintaining environmental conditions. This essay will discuss both views and argue why, in my opinion, the government should be mainly responsible for environmental management and care.
While there are a lot of reasons why people must take responsibility for the environment, there are also some problems. The chief reason is that people can acknowledge what can be done to maintain the diversity of the environment because they are familiar with their local environment. They know what changes are required for the well-being of their surroundings. Despite that, the compact schedule of people may lead to their unwillingness to participate in environmental welfare activities. They don’t want to spend their energy and time for the sake of ambiance.
However, in my opinion, the government is cut above the rest in terms of managing environmental factors, as they can allocate the budget needed for welfare. In addition, they can also enroll human resources for managing the surroundings. For instance, Kathmandu Metropolitan, the local governing body, has appointed workers for the purpose of cleaning the footpaths and roads.
This essay discussed whether the government or people are to be mentioned for managing the ambiance. While there are solid arguments on both sides of the debate, I would personally consider governmental bodies to take responsibility for caring about the environment.
