Nowadays, due to the development of technology and the demands of modern life, many people across the country remain homeless or lack the financial resources to buy a house. In my opinion, governments should implement policies to support the homeless and those who cannot afford housing.
Firstly, authorities must provide shelter for those in need. It is imperative to offer them a place to live; otherwise, allowing many people to sleep on the streets can lead to significant issues. For instance, individuals without jobs may resort to committing crimes to survive, leading to an increase in social problems.
Secondly, governments should assist them in finding employment so that they can earn their own money and sustain themselves. This approach could significantly reduce the social burden on society.
Thirdly, visitors traveling to a city for holidays would feel unhappy and distressed if they witness many people sleeping on the streets or begging for money. Such a sight can negatively impact the city’s reputation.
Finally, addressing homelessness can bring advantages to the country, such as fostering public trust in the government, reducing crime rates, and creating a modern, thriving society. Overall, it is essential for governments to care for those in need to promote the development of the country.
