The burning oil transportation have been one of the biggest issues in our society, in terms of economic and environmental issues. To find out a solution, some argue about an enormous increase of the taxation, against the petrol and diesel. I strongly oppose of this approach, and counter of it will be covered on this essay.
First of all, the imbalance of the economy, such as inflation, can be rebounded due to the high oil taxation. In general, each of the components of economy are closely connected and interacted, it means the balance can be easily collapsed. For instance, if the oil taxation was increased, due to the war and conflict between certain countries, it generally affects an inflation, in the aspects of foods, personal expenses, the other taxations.
Secondly, the antipathy amongst the public, can be created, due to the excessive oil taxation. Even if a short distance to the destination, our lives mostly rely on the oil usage transportations, all it depends on the oil taxation. However, if the high oil taxation is charged, the overall strongly oppose or disappoint of this deal. In Republic of Korea, the government enacted a policy about a comparative high oil taxation, in the aspect of protecting environment in 2004. Despite the great purpose about this policy, the antipathy amongst the public was extreme, the protests and signature movements were regularly take place in. This is because, the comparative tax increase evoked the economical imbalance of public and overall inflation, finally it arrives in the GDP (Gross Domestic product) decrease.
Although I oppose the petrol and diesel taxation increase, I strongly recommend to find out other aspects of solutions for environmental issues, such as developing an eco-friendly energy and encourage use of public transportation.
