In this contemporary epoch, there is a controversial issue over whether government should transport children to school or not. From my perspective, while i agree that this policy engenders students some benefits, i would argue that parents should transport their children to school.
On the one hand, there are some stands to support the view that going to school by state-funded transport offers substantial advantages to both students and government. Firstly, government-funded school bus system effectively addresses the challenges associated with reducing traffic congestion. In other word, the greater the number of students engaging in public school transport, the less traffic congestion there will be during peak hours, which enhances opportunities in reducing traffic jams in the metropolitants. Additionally, the increasing demand for educational welfare in today’s world underscores the necessity of shifting focus from parental responsibility to government accountability. A notable example is Japan, one of the most developed countries in the world, where students in almost every school travel to school by bus with a view to reducing the burden on working parents and improving road safety for children., which illustrates the nessecity of school transportation policy in practice. Nevertheless, this strategy also do more harm than good. A major concern is the fiscal burden on the government, especially in developing and underdeveloped countries. Instead, this money could be used for more pressing needs, such as providing vaccines or combating poverty.
On the other hand, parent-driven commuting model renders influx of positive impacts. The first feasible benefit is the flexibility in schedule. To be more specific, there are a variety of students living in the vicinity of the school who can easily commute within a short period of timeAs a result, not only is commuting by bus inconvenient, but it also makes students passive in managing their school schedule, which is the main reason why many prefer to travel by private vehicles. Another benefit worth mentioning is that taking their children to school is the good way to tighten the parent-child born. This may lead to the contributions of the child’s development not only cater to pressing societal demands but also cultivate long-term progress and sustainable development for both individuals and communities.
In conclusion, the school transported policy are pale in comparison with going to school with parents. Moreover i’m hold a firm belief that the duty of bringing children to school should primarily fall on parents rather than the government.
