The maps illustrate the development of the outskirts of Fosbury between 1980 and 2015. Overall, while residential areas retained some of their original features, most of its facilities underwent various changes over time, with the most significant alteration being seen in the top right-hand area. It is also noticeable that some new amenities were added to better accommodate the citizens there.
A new road intersection area was built in the middle of the area marked by four main roads. On the left side of the outskirts, the park originally located in the northern section was replaced by housing, while the park itself was relocated to a previously empty space across the main road in 2015. The residential area in the top left corner remained unchanged. The two tennis courts at the south side of the area in 1980 made way for a sports center and adjacent car park.
Regarding the right side of the outskirts of Fosbury, at the top right corner, a car park and supermarket have replaced the grocer’s shops, block of flats and terraced houses. However, the hotel positioned next to the north road remained the same. On the south side below the main road, what used to be fields have been converted to become warehouses.
