For example, many tabloids always focuses on exploiting the scandals or shocking statements of celebrities to only attract more and more readers to their websites. However, this can mislead the public into believing in flaws of the Vietnamese showbiz. Moreover, authority lack censorship in reporting news. Indeed, today, many youngsters are negatively affected by they luxurious lifestyles of KOLs. Then gradually they will be carried away with extravagant sometimes immoral way of life, posing a serious threat to the development of a nation.
However, it would be remiss to overlook the positive impact of new media on people’s lives. Indeed, exposure to news and reports can help people keep updated with lastest happenings around the world. For instance, regional newspaper or radio channels often offer forecast of weather and traffic conditions enabling residents to plan their travel schedules efficiently. In addition, a broadcast covering of victims in disaster stricken areas being helped by volunteers can evoke humanity and empathy among others.
