Overall, rates of doctor of philosophy (PhD) experienced a great increase and first degrees graduates witnessed a decrease throughout the period while master’s was likely to remain stable.
Taken together, the rate of bachelor degree holders fell from 44% in 1980 to 21% in 2008 but the master degrees were a total rate of 41% then slightly increased a little 28 years later. Remarkably, PhD experienced a significant increased from 15% in 1980 then doubled in the year of 2008.
On the other hand, professions in science during the year 1980 started with a significant 61% and continue rising to 69% in 2008. It is notable that the first degree in science proportion was 19% but then decreased to a-tenth during 28 years. Arts distributed at 39% in 1980 but then decreased to 31% 28 years later.
